We're so proud to admit our new members into this sorority!

"Not four years, for life"

Our sister Amity was diagnosed was multiple sclerosis less than a year ago. As many of you may know, MS is a very debilitating disease that affects the central nervous system and can cause problems with muscle control, balance, vision, and feeling, among many others. There is no cure and very little relief for those suffering from MS. Please come out and support her on Sunday April 28, 2013 from 9-2 pm in Baltimore. It's a 5k, and her goal is to raise $5,000. Please click the link below for more information about how to donate.

We had so much fun at Maryland State Police/ Special Olympics' Polar Bear Plunge on January 29th. We ventured to Sandy Point State Park, to plunge into water that was a chilly 53 degrees. Even though it was freezing, we all had a lot of fun and can't wait to do it again next year. Each of us was given a goal of raising $50, which we all met! This event raised thousands to support the many programs the Special Olympics offers. Their work is so important, and gives so many people the ability to overcome obstacles, face their fears, and have pride in accomplishing things they may not have otherwise been given the opportunity to do.

Spring 2013 recruitment is coming up and we are all so excited to introduce ourselves! We cannot wait to meet everyone that comes out for rush. It was such a fabulous experience and one that you will not regret. Please see the PHA recruitment event on Facebook for more details. Feel free to browse the site, and get to know us! I know we cannot wait to get to know you. We've spent countless hours planning for this years Spring recruitment to be the best yet. Good luck!

We had a fantastic weekend retreat after our wonderful initiation. We initiated 8 girls, of the Alpha Chi new member class into our sisterhood. It was a beautiful ceremony for all of us, and a joy to watch our new girls embrace their new family. After initiation, it was on to weekend retreat, where bigs and littles exchanged paddles and gifts. Our new girls also got their first sets of letters!

After a long but fun night, it was off to Girls on the Run. Most of the girls were on water stop duty, where they danced and handed out water cups to the runners. Other girls handed out medals, assisted with registration, and one even ran the race! We had so much fun over our busy weekend. <3
